DESCRIPTION
Superb photographic quality colour Inkjet printer featuring Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss ink, red and blue inks for a wider colour gamut, Gloss Optimiser and 8 individual cartridges. Print resolution of 5760 Optimised dpi (Using RPM Technology), 1.5pl micro droplets, and 17ppm black text (A4 Memo) printing. Print directly onto the surface of inkjet printable CD and DVD media.

Introduced with the Epson Stylus Photo R800 is a major breakthrough in ink development - the new Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss™ pigment ink. Included in the eight individual cartridges (C, M, Y, R, B, MBk, PBk, GO), is a new red (R) and blue (B) ink, separate Matte (MBk) and Photo Black (PBk) cartridges. This new ink formulation delivers significant improvements in the quality of photo printing.
Red and Blue Ink
To enhance the print quality of the Epson Stylus Photo R800, Epson has added Red and Blue inks to the standard yellow, Magenta, Cyan, Matte Black and Photo Black ink set. Besides improving the glossy finish of colour prints, these additional colours expand the effective colour gamut.
Gloss Optimiser
Uneven gloss can be a major problem in the overall quality of photo prints. With the inclusion of Gloss Optimiser (GO) into its ink-set, the Stylus Photo R800 achieves an even gloss finish across the entire print surface by adding Gloss Optimiser to areas such as highlights, where ink density is low, or to whole areas where no ink is used.
High Quality Photographic Printing
The Epson Stylus Photo R800 delivers outstanding photo quality with its 5760 Optimized dpi (using RPM technology) and a new Multi Layer Piezo (MLP) print head. The print head is capable of printing a minimum droplet size of 1.5pl with Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT). This incredibly high level of precision produces smooth gradation of colours and tones, while reducing the graininess that commonly occurs in photo printing.
